HAGERSTOWN, Md., Jan. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- QuicDoc Enterprise V6.2 is now ONC-ATCB Certified. On December 17, 2010 DocuTrac Inc. a leading provider of software for Behavioral Health and Human Service Agencies announced that QuicDoc Enterprise Edition, Electronic Health Records (EHR) software is now certified. QuicDoc is one of the very first Behavioral Healthcare EHRs to pass Final Rule Certification Tests funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), which was designed to support a paperless national health information network.
QuicDoc Enterprise Edition has completed twenty-one of the thirty-five ARRA certification tests earning a Certificate of EHR Compliance for Modular Certification and will become fully certified with Complete EHR-Ambulatory Certification by the end of the first quarter of 2011. Eligible professionals and agencies using QuicDoc Enterprise Edition version 6.2 Software can become qualified to receive incentives for the Medicare and Medicaid Meaningful Use Incentive Program for EHR technology.
Certified testing was conducted by Drummond Group, Inc. The Drummond Group provides Meaningful Use Certification for EHR systems and applications. The testing was carried out under the EHR Office of National Coordinator- Authorized Testing and Certification Bodies (ONC-ATCB) program.
Meaningful Use Incentives are available to Eligible Providers (EPs) who demonstrate "meaningful use" of a certified electronic health record (EHR) beginning in 2011. Under the part of the stimulus plan referred to as the HITECH Act, Eligible Providers can qualify for up to $44,000 in Medicare or $63,750 in Medicaid incentives.
These figures represent the maximum allowable incentives under the Medicare and Medicaid programs based on the percentage of actual annual revenue received from Medicare and Medicaid. Providers must choose between applying for Medicare or Medicaid funding; they may not receive incentives from both. Eligible Providers who show meaningful use of a certified EHR for at least a 90 day period during 2011 can start receiving money for that year.
