AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Quantum Ventures of Michigan, LLC ("Quantum Ventures") announces the formation of Quantum Plastics, LLC ("Quantum Plastics"), its executive leadership, and the launch of its company website www.quantumplastics.com.
Quantum Ventures formed Quantum Plastics in 2014 with the acquisition of Master Molded Products Corporation of Elgin, IL. Sales were tripled in mid-2015 with the addition of River Bend Industries. Adding direct-to-consumer items to the product line-up, Hospitec USA and Apollo Plastics joined the Quantum Plastics family in 2015, including products such as Kosmo Coolers and EEZY-GRO planters. Together these companies provide a history of over 150 years in plastics manufacturing. Quantum Plastics expects more organic and acquisition growth.
Quantum Plastics offers a broad manufacturing experience for its customers with three (3) locations across North America (Arkansas, Illinois and Iowa) and expertise in a multitude of processes including blow molding, custom injection molding, gas assist molding, insert molding and decorating capabilities. "We found a need for consolidation in the plastics manufacturing arena," said Quantum Ventures Founder, Chairman and CEO Robert Skandalaris. "There are a limited number of molders who offer a variety of processes while also spanning multiple industries." Quantum Plastics currently manufactures parts for the appliance, automotive, packaging, consumer, industrial and recreational & utility vehicle industries.
Named as the executive staff of Quantum Plastics are Morris Rowlett as Chief Executive Officer, Ron Embree as Chief Operating Officer and President, and Lisa Fiorenza as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Rowlett is a seasoned executive and former Chairman and CEO of GDX Automotive and Pilot Industries; Mr. Embree is an industry veteran, founder and CEO of River Bend Industries; Ms. Fiorenza is a former Senior Manager at Plante Moran. The executive team has already invested in innovation and quality with the addition of a 450 ton JSW injection molding machine in the Elgin, Illinois facility.
