SALT LAKE CITY and SEATTLE, July 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Qualtrics, the leader in experience management, today announced it has achieved FedRAMP authorization. Achieving this certification is evidence of Qualtrics' leadership in security, ensuring that organizations throughout the world can provide best-in-class solutions for improving the experiences they provide citizens, customers, and employees.
FedRAMP, or Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, is considered the gold standard for security certifications and is widely recognized as one of the highest non-military security programs. FedRAMP operates as a government-wide initiative to assess, authorize, and monitor cloud software providers and is designed to protect the sensitive data housed in federal agencies as they modernize and move legacy systems to the cloud. While the program was established by the US federal government, it incorporates policies and procedures that will benefit all Qualtrics customers in any of the more than 100 countries in which they are located.
"FedRAMP authorization is the major security milestone for any software platform. This certification demonstrates Qualtrics' firm and ongoing commitment to providing the highest level of security and privacy to all of our clients across the world," said Ryan Smith, co-founder and CEO of Qualtrics. "The Qualtrics XM Platform™ is fundamentally changing the way organizations measure, create, and act on the experiences of their employees, customers, and constituents."
The Qualtrics Experience Management (XM) Platform™ helps organizations measure the four core experiences: customer experience, employee experience, product experience and brand experience. The platform is used by more than 60 federal agencies, such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Census Bureau, Department of Defense, and General Services Administration. The Department of Health and Human Services served as the sponsoring agency for the certification.
"The FedRAMP cloud security authorization is based on a rigorous process and high standards to manage risk," said Nick Sinai, former U.S. Deputy CTO. "Modernizing government needs the scalability, agility, and security of cloud technologies, and FedRAMP is designed to accelerate the adoption of secure cloud and software-as-a-service solutions in federal government. I'm excited that Qualtrics has earned this FedRAMP authorization at a time when agencies are focusing on improving employee and customer experiences at scale."
All federal government data and processing will be done in GovCloud, a FedRAMP authorized data center powered by AWS.
