Qualtek's AC/DC Desktop and Wall Mount External Power Supplies Comply with Level VI

MENTOR, Ohio, April 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Qualtek, a leading manufacturer of power supplies, has updated its series of AC/DC Wall Mount and Desktop power supplies to meet U.S Department of Energy's new Efficiency Level VI standards. QADA and QADB series AC/DC desktop power supplies range from 18W to 200W concurrently QAWA, QAWB, and QFAW series AC/DC wall mount power supplies range from 5W to 36W.

Meeting the US Department of Energy's new Level VI no load / standby power and active mode efficiency specification, the AC/DC desktop power supplies consumes less than 0.5 Watt when no load is connected; while the wall mount power supplies no load power consumption is less than 0.3 Watt.

New industry standards are requiring most external power supplies to comply with the U.S. Department of Energy's Level VI Efficiency update by February 10, 2016. Any qualifying external power supplies manufactured after this date will have to meet these new standards. This Level VI update requires that these power supplies use less energy while still supplying the same amount of power. Supplies will need to have a no-load power maximum of 0.21W and 49-250W supplies will have to have 87% to 88% efficiency.
