EDISON, N.J., April 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Quaker Steak & Lube®, or The Lube® to loyalists, the award-winning casual-dining concept, known for its Best Wings USA and over 25 sauce varieties, today announced that the official grand opening of its newest restaurant, located at 561 US Route 1 & Plainfield Ave. in Edison, will take place on Wednesday, April 30 at 3:00PM.
In advance of opening day, The Lube® will give local aficionados a sneak peak of its deep fried gold by giving away FREE wings to the general public on a first come, first served basis, on Wednesday, April 23, from 12:00PM to 2:00PM and 6:00PM – 8:00PM. In lieu of payment, guests are encouraged to make a suggested donation of $5.00 per person to James Monroe Elementary School Recovery Fund, to benefit the rebuilding of James Monroe Elementary in Edison that was destroyed by a fire in March.

The newly built Edison Lube will encompass a 7,535 square-foot design while accommodating seating for over 350 people. The location also has a 2,500 square foot brickyard outdoor patio, which will be heated for outdoor seating all year round, along with an indoor and outdoor bar. More than 50 HD flat-screen televisions will show all the biggest sports events and games throughout the restaurant.
Additionally, sports and automotive memorabilia highlights of the new Edison Lube include three Harley Davidson motorcycles on display. Donated by Liberty Harley Davidson in Rahway, the bikes include a 1960 Harley Davidson Panhead with custom high handlebars, a 1945 WLA military issued motorcycle and a custom chopper that will be suspended from the ceiling, spinning, upside down. Other items include an upside down Coors Light NASCAR and 1978 Corvette Stingray and a Custom Junior Dragster belonging to reigning Englishtown 2 time champion and local racer, Joseph Cirillo.
The Edison Lube will feature appetizing menu selections and will hold supercharged events all week including, All-You-Can-Eat-Wings on Tuesday, Breaded Boneless Wednesdays, Thursday Bike Nites, early and late night Happy Hour and Sunday Car Cruise-ins.
For convenient to-go food, the Edison Lube will also include Lube Wingo and the restaurant will be launching online ordering at www.lubewingstofly.com.
