Quadrant Homes Volunteers Return to the Greenway
More than 80 Quadrant Homes employees converged on the Three Forks Natural Area to help with important restoration projects
BELLEVUE, Wash., Aug. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of Quadrant Homes' continued commitment to its communities and the environment, Quadrant employees once again joined the Mountains to Sound Greenway volunteers on Friday, August 5 to help with restoration and beautification projects. Last year, Quadrant employees participated in a volunteer event at Lake Sammamish State Park. This year, as part of the company's annual summer picnic, employees returned to the Greenway to volunteer their time and efforts at the Three Forks Natural Area in Snoqualmie.
"We are proud to join forces with organizations such as the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust and provide our employees regular opportunities to participate in these important restoration projects," said Quadrant Homes president Ken Krivanec. "The community of Snoqualmie is home to Quadrant customers and employees alike, and this year's project was a way for the entire Quadrant community to give back in a very meaningful way and to help keep our shared environment beautiful."
The Three Forks Natural Area is located just a few miles from the Aster Creek at Snoqualmie Ridge community. Situated at the confluence of the three forks of the Snoqualmie River, the area is an important sanctuary for a wide range of wildlife including black bear, elk, cougar, eagle, deer, trout and river otter. The area includes over five miles of riverfront, and the Snoqualmie Valley Trail Extension runs directly through the park.
This ongoing partnership with the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust is a key component of Quadrant's award-winning Living Sound program. Launched five years ago, the Quadrant Homes Living Sound program aims to improve the company's sustainability, both through its operational footprint and through its citizenship practices.
