Quadrant Homes Issues Call For Grant Applications To Local Food Banks, Community Organizations Supporting Youth And Elderly

BELLEVUE, Wash., June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Quadrant Homes, a subsidiary of Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company, and the Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund issued a call for  grant applicants in two key areas: non-profit organizations with a focus on youth or the elderly, and local food banks serving King, Kitsap, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, and Thurston counties. Up to $25,000 in multiple grants will be awarded to programs that support Quadrant communities.  

This year, grants will go toward programs that promote the care, well-being and/or education of the youth or the elderly, and to local food banks that support needy families in the region.  

Applications can be found at http://www.weyerhaeuser.com/Sustainability/GivingFund/HowToApply. Proposals should be electronically submitted no later than August 1, 2012. Grant awards are expected to be made mid to late Fall 2012.
