"As a result of our Techweek Detroit sponsorship last year, we were able to hire multiple technologists, ranging from a SQL Data Developer, a .NET programmer, a JAVA engineer, and a Marketing Manager," said Qstride Account Executive Jason Chapman. "We also met two brand new clients in the entrepreneurial space. I sincerely doubt anyone walked away from Techweek Detroit with a more healthy return on investment than Qstride and we are looking to repeat that success in 2015. Be sure to look for us at the Techweek Hiring Fair at Ford Field Friday, April 17th from noon – 5 p.m."
Techweek is a national conference that focuses on bringing together leaders, visionaries, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists in a week-long celebration of all things tech. The event showcase is being held at Detroit's Ford Field from April 13-19, 2015.
"Techweek's mission is to build a better world through tech entrepreneurship," said Allison Konkel, Techweek's Chief Strategy Officer. " In Detroit, we want to bring together the best and brightest in technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation for a week that is jam-packed with events where cutting edge technology is on display, people are inspired, and the city's tech revival is showcased -- both locally and nationally."
Qstride CEO Shane Gianino was selected as a Techweek Executive Board member and aims to serve as a "Technology Ambassador" for Detroit helping connect entrepreneurs, small business owners, investors, and companies with Techweek and its growing network of venture capital and mentors.
"Techweek Detroit has a significant impact on our local community and the State of Michigan," said Shane Gianino. "Technology industry growth impacts housing values, creates a profitable environment for real estate investment and job creation. As Detroit continues to strengthen itself as an urban core tech hub, competing with rivals such as Silicon Valley, Seattle, Austin, Chicago, etc., Techweek Detroit plays a more vital role in assisting the small businesses and entrepreneurs and helping Michigan become a top ten tech state."
An estimated 35,000 entrepreneurs, programmers, developers, designers, marketers, engineers, venture capitalists, angel investors, students and technology enthusiasts are projected to attend Techweek this year. The event kicks off in Detroit and continues in Chicago, Miami, New York, Los Angles, and Kansas City.
