QPal users invite friends to answer their questions through Facebook or their address book to instantly get reliable answers. To consult a smaller circle of friends, users can create groups in QPal, targeting a very specific audience, or it is possible to ask a certain friend through the app's search feature. Users can filter questions and answers based on location. For a wider reach, users can either broadcast a question to friends of friends or to the QPal community by country with a public inquiry connecting people across the globe with similar interests.
Through QPal's "Who's Got Questions" feature, users can scroll through a specific category filtered by questions from friends or from the QPal community to provide answers on topics they are familiar with or refer questions to friends who might be experts on a particular subject. Forty six percent of consumers feel they can be completely honest on the Internet and nearly two in every five adults aim to influence others when they express opinions online. The same study showed that 45 percent on consumers were influenced a great deal or fair amount by reviews on social sites from the people that they follow.
The app increases the visibility of a question by suggesting tagged interests based on keywords. By selecting interest tags, the question will show up in the feed of those who have similar interests providing more opportunity for a variety in answers. When drafting a question, users can include a photo or a map if locations are involved. Questions can be posted directly to Facebook so users can get answers from Facebook friends via comments.
