QlikTech Launches 'Change Their World' Program Offering Free QlikView Analytics Software to Organizations in Need
Delivers critical information global healthcare, environmental and humanitarian organizations need to make their good work better
RADNOR, Pa., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- QlikTech, a leading business intelligence company, today announced the launch of its "Change Their World" global corporate social responsibility platform. As part of the program the Company will offer free grants for its QlikView product and related services. Through the Change Their World grant program QlikTech will donate resources needed to help organizations gain visibility into data sources that can accelerate outcomes, connect donors with recipients and make good work better. From tracking global sources of clean water and supporting research to cure disease, QlikView can have a huge impact in simplifying complex information from varied data sources.
"We usually talk about the impact access to information can bring to corporations, but over the years we have found that QlikView is so simple to learn to use that it opens up infinite possibilities for advancing causes for the greater good," commented Lars Bjork, CEO at QlikTech. "The product is already being used to save lives, solve crimes and illuminate environmental data. We believe that is only the beginning. If given exposure to what can be possible with our analytics tool, access to medical and environmental data could be accelerated and relief efforts could have an efficient means of organizing complex supply chains and advancing broad rebuilding initiatives."
Organizations interested in applying for a grant can submit an application at http://www.qlikview.com/changetheirworld. QlikView is uniquely able to make this offer because unlike traditional business intelligence platforms it does not require huge infrastructure or IT resources. Workers in the field can run data from a single laptop, or researchers can scale to import data from various sources in a matter of days or weeks.
QlikTech piloted this program by donating free QlikView licenses, training and hosting services to the following organizations:
- Circle of Blue, a prominent international network of journalists and scientists reporting on diminishing supplies of clean fresh water, used QlikView to create its WaterViews survey and report, which probed public attitudes about access to fresh water in 23 countries. As the first survey of its kind ever conducted globally, it is available at http://demo.qlikview.com. See video of J. Carl Ganter, co-founder and director of Circle of Blue, commenting on the impact of their use of QlikView at http://www.qlikview.com/changetheirworld.
- Plan France is part of Plan International, a global child-centered development organization that works with 3,500,000 families and their communities in developing countries all over the world to promote child rights and lift millions of children out of poverty. Plan France has implemented QlikView throughout its organization to better manage projects including helping to get resources to children out in the field. They have recently realized the power of QlikView in their organization in the speed to collecting and dispersing donations and helping with Haiti relief efforts.
Grant applicants will be selected based on their description of the impact that access to data through QlikView can have on its organization, its constituents and the broader global community. Considerations of timelines, resources, and services needed, will determine when grants can be issued on an ongoing basis.
