QlikTech and Opera Solutions Partner to Bring Cutting-Edge Data Science and Machine Intelligence to its Business Discovery Application
Combination Will Deliver Enhanced Capabilities for Enterprises to Extract Insights From Big Data Flows and Transform Them into "Best Actions"
NEW YORK, N.Y. & RADNOR, Pa., Nov. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Opera Solutions, LLC, a leading global Big Data Science company, and QlikTech (NASDAQ: QLIK), a leader in Business Discovery – user-driven Business Intelligence (BI), today announced the two companies have reached an OEM agreement. Under the agreement, QlikTech's industry-leading in-memory associative search technology will be incorporated into select applications developed by Opera Solutions as part of its Signal Hub™ Suite and related Signal Apps.
The Signal Hub Suite delivers rapid value from Big Data throughout an enterprise, with ready-built modules for key functional areas such as Operations, Marketing, and Spend, and Signal Apps that deliver recommended Best Actions to frontline operations. The first joint application is the Spend Intelligence Platform, a Signal App that dramatically boosts procurement professionals' productivity by continuously integrating complex spend, contract, and supplier data from inside and outside the enterprise. QlikTech technology will be used to help procurement professionals visualize, confirm, and capture the savings opportunities identified by Opera Solutions' advanced anomaly detection algorithms.
In the coming weeks, a QlikTech-enhanced version of Opera Solutions' BIQ product will also be made available on QlikMarket, QlikTech's recently launched Web marketplace. BIQ allows for rapid analysis and drilldowns into very large datasets, with unique read-write capabilities. These changes to categories and measures are immediately reflected throughout the entire dataset. QlikTech's technology seamlessly integrates with the BIQ engine and provides the front-end interface.
"At Opera Solutions, we believe in building the unbeatable power of Man + Machine into all our solutions, because it is the best way to transform Big Data flows into frontline productivity and bottom line growth," said Arnab Gupta, CEO of Opera Solutions. Our alliance with QlikTech provides us new capabilities to do so, and we look forward to incorporating their technology into a range of our Signal Apps," he added.
"Our customers know and understand the power and freedom of using intuitive visual analysis to uncover the insights and answers hidden in Big Data," said Peter McQuade, vice president of Alliances and Partner Sales at QlikTech.
