QinetiQ North America Selected by Justice Department for IT Support Services 4 Contract

MCLEAN, Va., July 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- QinetiQ North America today announced that the company has been selected as a winning contractor for the Department of Justice (DOJ) IT Support Services 4 (ITSS-4) contract.  

ITSS-4 is a multiple-award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract with a total ceiling value of $1 billion and replaces ITSS III, scheduled to expire by the end of September 2011. This win represents QinetiQ North America's first contract win with DOJ, leveraging the company's deep experience in law enforcement information sharing and innovative information technology services for the federal market.

ITSS-4 covers a seven-month base, followed by six one-year options. Under the new contract, QinetiQ North America will provide full software development and life-cycle support solutions to all of DOJ. Solutions will include program management support, systems development, service operations, IT planning, and cybersecurity. According to Jill Thompson, EVP of QinetiQ North America, emerging technologies such as cloud computing and identity management could play a key role in fulfilling ITSS-4. And, the company's certifications – including CMMI Level 3, ISO 20,000 and ISO 9001:2008 – confirm a commitment to excellence that will serve DOJ well under the new contract.
