QinetiQ North America Receives Option-Year Two Award of FEMA Asset Tracking Services Contract

MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- QinetiQ North America announced today an award from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on a contract option worth up to $15.6M to provide Asset Tracking Services.

Under FEMA's Total Asset Visibility Program, QinetiQ North America will provide continued integration with the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) and FEMA's technical architecture, as well as surge capabilities for disaster operations. Additionally, QinetiQ North America will provide asset tracking devices and supplemental equipment, GPS messaging services to locate tagged-assets or shipments, secure sharing of data-feeds and messaging, technical support for ongoing operations and maintenance, and surge capabilities for disaster operations.
