Qfix® Announces the Launch of RapidHeat™ Hot Air Oven
Hot air ovens use dry heat to soften thermoplastic material for use in radiotherapy applications
AVONDALE, Pa., Sept. 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Qfix (www.Qfix.com) launched the RapidHeat Hot Air Oven. RapidHeat quickly reaches working temperatures and provides an easy to use method to heat Aquaplast RT™ and Fibreplast™ thermoplastic masks as well as Aquaplast RT™ Custom Bolus™. The unique design allows the hot air to envelop the thermoplastic so it softens quickly and evenly. This reduces the overall mask making time. RapidHeat™ features digital temperature control and can be used in a programmable or manual timer mode, increasing workflow efficiencies. The racks boast a non-stick coating which reduces the potential for sticking of the thermoplastic. RapidHeat automatically shuts off after 2 hours of inactivity for convenience and added safety.
The digital temperature control can be used in a programmable or manual timer mode, increasing workflow efficiencies. The arrow indicators are used to adjust time and temperature. The Start/Stop function allows you to easily preheat the oven while prepping your patient.
The RapidHeat Hot Air Oven will be on display, including live demonstrations at the Qfix booth #735 during the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) annual meeting, September 24 – 26, 2017 at the San Diego Convention Center.
