QBE Presents Wounded Warrior Project With $175,000
NEW YORK, Dec. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The QBE Divisional Foundation has awarded a $175,000 grant to Wounded Warrior Project™ to support the group's programs aimed at economic empowerment for injured service members.
According to QBE President and Chief Executive Officer John Rumpler, the Wounded Warrior Project's economic empowerment services fit well with the foundation mission. The foundation is dedicated to supporting vocational opportunities around the world through local organizations that help people live more independently, successfully and productively.
The grant will help Wounded Warrior Project provide unique, direct programs focusing on higher education, information technology training and employment assistance. "We are pleased to lend a hand to our injured service members who sacrificed so much for our country," he says. "We look forward to our foundation grant helping these service members and their families to be financially stable and successful going forward."

Wounded Warrior Project is one of 10 charities receiving grants from QBE in 2011. More than 200 charities providing vocational services in QBE's local communities were nominated and voted on by employees in 143 offices across the country.
