QBE North America Appoints Shruti Patel as Chief Human Resources Officer

NEW YORK, April 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- QBE North America, an operating division of QBE Group, today announced that Shruti Patel has joined the organization as Chief Human Resources Officer.

In her new role, Ms. Patel will be responsible for the company's North America human resources activities, including driving its North America people strategy. Based in New York City, Ms. Patel will serve as a member of the QBE NA Executive Management Board (EMB), reporting directly to David Duclos, President and Chief Executive Officer, QBE North America. Ms. Patel will also serve as a member of QBE North America Leadership Team (NALT). Ms. Patel replaces Hy Pomerance in this role, who was recently appointed Chief Human Resources Officer, Emerging Markets (EM), an operation of QBE Group.

Ms. Patel has more than 20 years' experience in human resources leadership, including serving in senior roles at American Express, Merrill Lynch, and Morgan Stanley. She joins QBE from AIG, where she most recently held the position of Vice President, Human Resources, originally partnering with the company's Commercial business, and most recently, where she was responsible for the creation and delivery of the Consumer business' human capital plan worldwide.
