QBE North America Appoints Nathan Bleich to Vice President, Commercial Agriculture Underwriting

NEW YORK, June 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- QBE North America today announced that Nathan Bleich has joined the organization as Vice President, Commercial Agriculture Underwriting. Based in Denver, Colorado, Mr. Bleich will report to Walter Grote, Senior Vice President Commercial Insurance.

In this role, Mr. Bleich will use his deep industry expertise and experience to guide the strategic development of Commercial Agriculture underwriting and operational framework by driving effectiveness, strong risk analysis, and continual policy and process improvement to deliver organizational growth.

A proven agriculture leader with strong underwriting expertise, Mr. Bleich joins QBE from Nationwide where he spent the past 12 years working in the Agribusiness division, most recently as Agribusiness Underwriting Director, where he was responsible for profitably growing a 17 state underwriting territory, and driving strong multi-channel agency partnerships.

Mr. Bleich started his insurance career as an Agribusiness underwriter with Allied Insurance following a successful career in the military. He is a veteran of the Iowa Army National Guard, proudly serving his state and country for nearly a decade. Mr. Bleich received his commission as a second lieutenant prior to his honorable discharge. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Management Information Systems from Iowa State University, in addition to the Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist designation.
