QBE North America Appoints Jonathon Fanti to Senior Vice President, Underwriting Leader - Public Company Management Liability
NEW YORK, Sept. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- QBE North America, an operating division of QBE Insurance Group, today announced that Jonathon Fanti has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Underwriting Leader – Public Company Management Liability. Mr. Fanti will continue to report to John Burkhart, Senior Vice President and Head of Management Liability & Professional Lines.
In his new capacity, Mr. Fanti will have the P&L responsibility for the Public Company segment and will set the underwriting strategy for the Directors & Officers product line. Jon will continue to build QBE's presence as a market leader while also working to expand QBE's public company business on a national basis in partnership with our Regional Executives across each distribution channel. Jon will also lead QBE's efforts to deliver global master-local admitted policy placements for multinational Public & Private D&O customers.

Before joining QBE in 2013, Mr. Fanti spent 11 years at Chubb, serving as Assistant Vice President and managing a regional public company portfolio. In this role, he was responsible for leading a team of underwriters focused on Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, ERISA Bonds, Employee Dishonesty and Kidnap & Ransom Insurance. Mr. Fanti started his career as a casualty underwriter at AIG, before moving to Gulf Insurance Group as a public company underwriter. Later, he further honed his underwriting expertise at Kemper Insurance, where he focused on Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, and Representations & Warranties Insurance.
Mr. Fanti graduated from Olivet College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, and earned an M.B.A from The College of Insurance in New York. He also holds a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designation.
