QBE North America Announces New Agreement with AmWINS Special Risk Underwriting
NEW YORK, June 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- QBE North America, an operating division of global insurer QBE Insurance Group Limited, today announced a strategic program alliance with AmWINS Special Risk Underwriters (SRU) to launch a national excess property program.
This program, offered on a non-admitted basis, will principally target risks comprised of a mix of soft occupancy (habitational, hospitality, retail, etc.) and manufacturing, areas where QBE is a market leader.
"QBE is excited to partner with such an experienced property MGA. This business will be a valuable addition to our current book and we look forward to fostering this relationship for many years to come," said Glenn Skrynecki, Senior Vice President, P&C Programs for QBE.
"We were looking to partner with a carrier that will help us achieve our long term goals in this space. QBE brings the specialized expertise to help us meet the needs of our customers," said Katie Davies, President of AmWINS Special Risk Underwriting.
AmWINS SRU was formed in 2008 as an exclusive MGA for AmWINS property brokers, the largest independent wholesaler in the country. SRU focuses on the underserved middle market segment of the E&S property business. The exclusive products that SRU provides are available only through AmWINS property brokers.
