QBE North America Announces Appointment of Russell Johnston as Chief Executive Officer, North America Operations; David Duclos to Retire from Full-Time Executive Employment
NEW YORK, May 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- QBE North America, an operating division of QBE Group, today announced that Russell Johnston will be joining QBE on May 31, 2016, in the role of Chief Executive Officer, North American Operations. Mr. Johnston will succeed David Duclos who is retiring from full-time executive employment. Mr. Duclos has agreed to remain with QBE as a Non-Executive Director of QBE Emerging Markets and Equator Re, as well as offering his market expertise to operational initiatives across QBE Group.
Mr. Johnston has more than 25 years' experience in the insurance industry in North America, and has held a range of senior business and operational roles since joining American International Group Inc. (AIG) in 1990. From 2011 to November 2015 Mr. Johnson served as President of AIG Casualty in the Americas, with responsibility for all U.S., Canada, Bermuda and London-based U.S. Casualty underwriters.
