Qatar to Invest Over $21bn in Transport Infrastructure
DUBAI, UAE, January 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Through a dedicated attempt to be placed on the sporting map of excellence, Qatar has put itself forward for the 2020 Olympic Games and the 2022 World Cup. In order to meet international regulatory standards, Qatar has developed a multibillion-dollar programme to expand the country's transport infrastructure.
With new tenders being announced on a frequent basis, Qatar is paving the way for world class future transportation projects. Recent projects include Doha's new airport, the formation of the long awaited Qatar Railway Network and the expansion of local bus networks.
The intricate and ambitious masterplan will be discussed in detail at an upcoming conference in Doha. Eng.
