WASHINGTON, July 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Qatar Airways showcased a taste of the "World's Best Business Class" at Washingtonian's Best Of Washington event, sponsored by AT&T and hosted by Washingtonian Magazine.
As the official airline sponsor of Best Of Washington, Qatar Airways showcased its "World's Best Business Class" through a mobile "cabin." The cabin featured two Boeing 777 Business Class seats that converted into fully flat beds, celebrity chef menus, two Qatar Airways Cabin crew members and authentic mezze – an Arabic appetizer assortment featured on every Qatar Airways flight.
The special cabin was an opportunity for Washingtonians to experience the art of travel onboard Qatar Airways.
The AT&T Best Of Washington party and auction, held at the National Building Museum, is an annual highlight on the Washington, DC calendar, where over 2,000 guests, celebrities and restaurateurs gather to enjoy the best cuisines the nation's capital has to offer, as voted by Washingtonian Magazine readers.
All proceeds from the silent auction and a portion of tickets sales went to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
"Washington is the home of our North American operations and we are honored to have our in-flight experience featured among DC's finest hospitality and cuisine.
"With our world-renowned chefs and five-star service, we are proud to say that DC business travelers and the world over have voted for an award to Qatar Airways for Best Business Class," said Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker.
