With the spirit of inspiring interest in engineering and science, 40 young members of the Greater Washington Boys & Girls Clubs (GWBGC) were given an all-access tour of one of the world's largest commercial aircraft. From the tarmac to the cockpit, they viewed the plane from an engineer's perspective, while being given the opportunity to pose questions directly to Qatar Airways staff.
"Today's youth will become the engineers and aviators of tomorrow. Qatar Airways is proud to inspire and encourage the next generation towards a lifelong curiosity in science and technology. Today was an unforgettable event, which has shown these young people the wonders they can achieve through education," said Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker.
