PyroGenesis Announces the Appointment of Dr. Twigge-Molecey as Board Director and Strengthens its Foray into the Mining and Metallurgical Sector

("PyroGenesis" or the "Company") (TSXV: PYR), an environmental solutions company that designs, develops and manufactures plasma waste-to-energy systems and plasma torch products, is pleased to announce that Dr. Chris Twigge-Molecey, P.Eng., FCIM, has joined the Company's Board of Directors.

Having worked for the Hatch Group for over forty years in a wide range of technical and management positions in the minerals and metallurgical field, Dr. Twigge-Molecey currently serves as Senior Advisor at Hatch Ltd. after having served on the main board for several years.

Dr. Twigge-Molecey has been a strong supporter of the mining and metallurgical community in which he currently acts as Director of the Canada-China Business Council; Director of the Canadian Mining Innovation Council; Member of the Canadian Government Clean Mining Initiative advisory board; and Past President of The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum as well as a past President of The Metallurgical Society.

Dr. Twigge-Molecey is also an author and presenter of over 40 publications and/or plenary lectures. He holds four patents and has edited four books. He is a recipient of the prestigious Mineral Economics Award of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum Engineers (2006) and of the Silver Medal from The Metallurgical Society of CIM (2003).
