PwC Cloud Assurance Director Becky Swain, will join international standards representatives, legal experts, regulators and innovators, to discuss the conundrum in today's rapid adoption of cloud computing at the CSA Innovation Conference. Heavily driven by business value realized from new technological innovations, new federal mandates have been introduced, including the US Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), a proposed EU General Data Protection Regulation, a new mandate for continuous monitoring and new consumer data protection rights. It is unclear how these mandates can be achieved with current technological constraints, and Ms. Swain will discuss whether these regulations could potentially lead to new forms of cloud computing innovation. |
