NEW YORK, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC LLP today announced that Martyn Curragh has been appointed Leader of the U.S. Transaction Services practice, succeeding John McCaffrey who will relocate overseas to take on additional leadership responsibilities within the Firm.
In his new role, Curragh leads a practice comprised of over 1,000 experienced professionals who advise clients throughout the entire lifecycle of a transaction, providing due diligence for M&A transactions, along with advice on accounting and financial reporting and valuations, M&A strategy and integration, capital raising, restructuring, and divestitures options.

During his tenure with PwC, Curragh has distinguished himself as a seasoned deal specialist with extensive experience in global and cross border deals, having served numerous Private Equity and Corporate clients resident in both the US and Europe. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in transactions aggregating over $30 billion across a diverse group of industry sectors including media and publishing, consumer products and retail, industrial products, pharmaceuticals, and aerospace and defense contracting. Curragh has provided a broad range of mergers and acquisitions related services to clients including industry/market assessments, buy side due diligence, divestiture services, accounting and tax structuring and post merger integration.
Curragh has been with PwC for 20 years, working in both the UK and U.S. He joined the U.S. Transaction Services group in the New York office in 1998, relocating from Northern Ireland. Curragh is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the Queen's University of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
