NEW YORK, Feb. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC US has been inducted into Training magazine's Top 10 Hall of Fame. The announcement came last night during a gala at the Training 2011 Conference and Expo in San Diego. The firm qualified for the recognition by being ranked in the top 10 of Training's Top 125, the prominent annual list of companies excelling at employee development, for four consecutive years. PwC is the only company ever to achieve the top ranking for three consecutive years, from 2008-2010, and it ranked No. 2 in 2007.

"It's a great honor to be part of Training's Hall of Fame, and we readily accept the responsibility that accompanies such recognition," said Tom Evans, PwC US chief learning officer. "Every day we challenge ourselves to augment learning and development at PwC. We're committed to exploring new and better ways to connect the firm, advance our culture and expand the capabilities of our people through education, experience and challenge."
PwC has been gradually transforming its curriculum into an award-winning "blended" experience that combines formal and informal education, in-person programs, and technology-based learning. The effort has created year-round development opportunities for its people that delivered more than 1.7 million hours of training and education in the last fiscal year ended June 30. The programs have also reduced carbon emissions, helping PwC achieve a 20 percent carbon reduction goal two years ahead of schedule.
In addition to Training, PwC has been named consistently as one of FORTUNE's "100 Best Companies to Work For" and the DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity®. PwC has also ranked in the top five of the "Universum Global Top 50," an index of the world's most attractive employers, for the past two years.
