CLEVELAND, April 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC US today announced it has appointed Mark Ross as Managing Partner of the professional service firm's Lake Erie market. Ross brings more than 28 years of experience to the role and will be responsible for leading more than 1,000 professionals in delivering audit, tax and advisory services to clients in the firm's Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, NY, and Rochester, NY offices.
Ross, who is returning to Cleveland after roles with PwC in San Francisco and Miami, succeeds Bob Saada, who is now the Managing Partner of PwC's New York Metro Deals and Transaction Services practice. Saada served in the role for nearly five years and will continue to live in Cleveland and stay active in the community.
"I am excited to return to my hometown of Cleveland and look forward to continuing to drive the growth trajectory of our practice across all our lines of service," noted Ross. "PwC has a strong presence in this market, which is home to several of our national leaders, including Rich Stovsky who leads the firm's US Private Company Services practice. Additionally, we've continued to expand our capabilities in Cleveland, especially in our consulting business. PwC and Strategy& (formerly Booz & Co.) have a large presence in Cleveland and have come together to form the pre-eminent strategy-through-execution professional services firm. I look forward to working closely with Rich and all of the PwC and Strategy& partners and teams in the market to continue to grow our talent and client base."
Most recently, Ross served as the West Region Deals leader in San Francisco and prior to that as the Deals leader and Advisory leader for the firm's Florida market. A native of Cleveland, he began his career at PwC in the Cleveland office in the audit practice and later helped to build the Deals practice in Cleveland.
Ross previously served on the board of Big Brothers, Big Sisters in Cleveland and Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland. "I am eager to re-engage in the Cleveland community after being out of this market for almost ten years and to continue supporting the community leadership activities that PwC has focused on as part of our commitment to Cleveland and the broader Lake Erie market. A majority of our Lake Erie partners serve on nonprofit boards and nearly 90 percent of our people are engaged in corporate responsibility activities," said Ross. "Cleveland has been and will always be my home and I am honored to be given such a great opportunity to make a difference in the community that means so much to me," added Ross.
