Purity Vodka won Masters medals in Scandinavia and Super Premium, and Gold medals in Design & Packaging, Europe and Organic categories. The brand also received top accolades at the Travel Retail Masters, held at the same time, bringing home Masters medals for Travel Retail Exclusive and Design & Packaging. Following on success earlier this year at the Asian Spirits Masters, the brand was recognized as the Grand Asian Spirits Master.
According to The Spirits Business Associate Publisher Daisy Jones, "We congratulate Purity Vodka for winning The Vodka Grand Master 2012. To become 'Vodka Of The Year' two years in a row is an outstanding achievement, especially for an independent micro-distillery." She added, "It is a great pleasure to see the passion of Thomas Kuuttanen and his devoted team paying off-- and once again reinforcing Purity Vodka's place as the world's most awarded ultra-premium vodka."
"We are honored to be acknowledged for a second year in a row at The Spirits Masters," says Thomas Kuuttanen, master blender at Purity Vodka. "I am pleased that the decade spent developing what we believe to be the smoothest, highest quality ultra-premium vodka on the market has yielded significant results. It's wonderful that both industry people and in-the-know consumers are beginning to catch on regarding the elegant, full-bodied taste and complexity of Purity Vodka."
The Vodka Masters 2012 nods further extend Purity Vodka's impressive run as the most awarded ultra-premium vodka in the world. The high quality craft spirit continues to collect accolades, including an impressive seven gold and Master Awards at the Asian Spirits Masters 2012 (Grand Asian Spirits Master, Master: Smooth, Gold: Organic, Gold, Super Premium, Gold: Scandinavia, Gold: Europe, Gold: Micro Distillery) . The brand also won Triple Gold at the 2012 Micro Distillery Awards, one of a handful of brands honored with this distinction having won both a Gold Medal for Taste and a Gold Medal for Design. The spirit also garnered Gold and Master awards in seven out of seven categories entered at the Vodka Masters and Travel Retail Masters 2011 competition in Cannes and took home Vodka of the Year honors as the Grand Vodka Master. For the latter, Purity Vodka scored the maximum number of points in the competition's organic category --100 out of 100-- an unprecedented achievement in competition history.
About Purity Vodka
Purity Vodka is the result of a lifelong quest to redefine vodka by Master Bender Thomas Kuuttanen. With its heritage based in the 13th century Ellinge Castle in the south of Sweden, Purity Vodka is born out of a proprietary method utilizing a vodka still made of copper and gold.
Kuuttanen is a world-renowned Master Blender who has produced some of the most prominent whiskeys, liqueurs, gins, vodkas, and aquavits in his country. He spent more than a decade developing and refining the Purity Vodka recipe, which combines tradition and innovation into a unique tasting experience. Using a secret family recipe and only natural ingredients – including winter wheat and malted barley as well as natural spring water, rich in minerals and iron – Purity Vodka reminds vodka drinkers that taste does matter.
Distilled 34 times, the production of Purity Vodka is labor intensive and demanding. During the distillation, Kuuttanen disposes of 90 percent of the spirit leaving only the "Perfect Cut" – or 10 percent of the spirit – which is used as the heart of Purity Vodka. The result: A spirit so refined that it doesn't need filtration.
The most awarded ultra-premium vodka in the world, Purity Vodka continues to win top honors in the most prestigious international spirit competitions. It is certified 100 percent organic by both European and U.S. governing agencies and is tested to be gluten-free.
Purity Vodka's new packaging, launching in late Fall 2012, emphasizes the small batch, craft distilled process, with each bottle bearing a batch and bottle number on a new plum neck label.
