Pure Barre Donates More Than $175,000 For Deserving Charities In The First Ever National Pure Give Challenge
Each Studio Chose a Charity and Competed to Raise Funds with A Pure Barre Corporate Match Going to the Top Three Winning Studios
SPARTANBURG, S.C., Oct. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Pure Barre, the largest, most established barre franchise in the nation with more than 250 studios across the country, donated more than $175,000 to deserving charities in its first ever National Pure Give Challenge, a competition where studios raised money for their charities of choice with the support of their local community.
For the National Pure Give Challenge, during the months of August and September, Pure Barre studios and their fans competed to raise the most money for their favorite causes. Pure Barre used the crowdrise.com platform to accept and distribute the donations to more than 100 charities. The winning prizes included a match donation from the Pure Barre corporate team to the top three studios, and a guest teaching experience from Pure Barre Founder and Chief Concept Officer, Carrie Dorr.

The total amount donated during the National Pure Give Challenge was $177,343, including matches and prize donations from the Pure Barre corporate team. The top three winning studios and the funds donated to support their charities are included below.
- 1st Place Studio: Pure Barre Memphis, TN raising $28,629 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
- 2nd Place Studio: Pure Barre Spartanburg, SC raising $22,315 for globalbike inc.
- 3rd Place Studio: Pure Barre Richmond, VA – Near West End raising $15,174 for Fetch a Cure
*The Pure Barre corporate team matched $5,000 for first place, and $2,500 for second and third place studios
