Puerto Rican Family Institute Presents Second Annual Vive tu vida! Get Up! Get Moving!® Event
Celebrating Hispanic culture, delivering life-saving health screenings and supporting families
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, Oct. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ -- This Saturday, October 10, 2015, the National Alliance for Hispanic Health and Puerto Rican Family Institute presents the 2nd Annual Vive tu vida! Get Up! Get Moving!® San Juan. The event promotes Hispanic family physical activity and good nutrition for better health and wellness for all. This FREE, open to the public event is made possible by an extraordinary group of partners and volunteers.
"We partner with the Municipality of San Juan Ciudad Patria and host this event in Puerto Rico. It is critical that families in our island take action to improve their health," said Iran Rodriguez, President and CEO of The Puerto Rican Family Institute. "Physical activity helps prevent and manage disease, boosts energy, and is an important part of maintaining emotional health by reducing stress and improving one's mood."

- Health Screenings: Blood pressure, flu shoots, mental health, services for seniors and kids
- Fitness Activities: Zumba, yoga, tennis clinics and other exercise demonstrations
- Health Workshops: Mental Health and domestic violence prevention
