Public Urged to "Spring Into Action" at State Vehicle Auction on April 8
Preview of More Than 400 Units Will Run Thursday Through Sunday
HARRISBURG, Pa., April 3, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- More than 400 vehicles will be available for public purchase at the commonwealth's first auction of spring to be held on April 8 at the Manheim Auto Auctions, 488 Firehouse Road, Grantville, Dauphin County.
"Commonwealth vehicle auctions always provide the public with the opportunity to get a quality used vehicle at a fair price," state General Services Secretary Sheri Phillips said. "With the variety of more than 400 units at the auction, there's definitely something for everyone."
Preparation is key to being successful at the state vehicle auctions, Phillips said.
"In order to be successful, potential bidders need to be prepared for what happens at our auctions," Phillips noted. "Buyers should make sure they are registered, understand the payment methods and additional fees that are part of the auction process and, perhaps most importantly, they should go to the auction lot and take advantage of the vehicle preview."
The public is encouraged to preview the vehicles at the Manheim Auto Auctions, 488 Firehouse Road, Grantville, Dauphin County, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily starting on Thursday, April 4, through Sunday, April 7.
The auction will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 8. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and closes at noon. Buyers may purchase with cash or certified funds in the form of money orders, cashier's checks, certified checks or bank checks – all made payable to "Manheim Central Penn Auto Auction."
The commonwealth holds six vehicle auctions per year and all revenue generated is returned to the state.
