Award-winning Producer Joins NJTV's Nightly News and Public Affairs Program
NEW YORK, Sept. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Accomplished television news producer and New Jersey resident, Bob Males, has signed on to executive produce NJ Today, the nightly news program on NJTV.

NJ Today will replace the current NJ Today Summer Edition, which began broadcasting in July. NJ Today will cover news across New Jersey with a concentration on government and public policy, using taped stories and in-depth interviews.

Males began his broadcast career in the 1980s, starting as a Newscast Producer for WBZ-TV in Boston and KPIX-TV in San Francisco. Since then, Males has developed new programs and pilots, is an accomplished show-runner, and has worked in television and on the Web for American Public Television, MSNBC, Fox News Channel, and CBS among others. Most recently Males was the Executive Producer of the New Jersey and Long Island channels for Verizon FiOS1 News.
A winner of numerous broadcast awards, including the New England Regional Emmy Award for Breaking News, Males has overseen 6,000 hours of television newscasts both nationally and for local stations.
