NEWARK, N.J., March 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- PSE&G vice president Kim Hanemann, who is directing $3.6 billion of transmission infrastructure investments for the New Jersey utility during the next three years, has been named one of NJBIZ's 50 top women in business.

Hanemann is responsible for PSE&G's large utility construction projects and leads a team that is upgrading and reinforcing major transmission lines that keep electricity flowing throughout New Jersey. She oversees the management and execution of more than 400 projects annually that are putting 8,000 people to work.
"The projects Kim manages ensure system reliability in the grid that serves the Northeast, allowing us to maintain safe, reliable service for customers now and into the future," said Ralph LaRossa, the utility's president and COO. "She's absolutely essential to our operation."
Hanemann is active in the community, serving on the Children's Specialized Hospital (CSH) Foundation board. CSH has 11 sites in New Jersey including PSE&G Children's Specialized Hospital, the flagship pediatric rehabilitation hospital in New Brunswick. She is chairing this year's "Walk n' Roll," a family-friendly fundraiser being held on May 18 in New Brunswick's Johnson Park.
Hanemann served from 2006 to 2011 as vice president of the Special Education Alliance for the Bridgewater Raritan Regional School District, and was a member of the District Committee for Curriculum and Instruction for the school district from the committee's inception in 2008 through 2012.
Hanemann joined PSE&G as an engineer in 1986 and has held leadership positions in both electric and gas field operations. She holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from the Rutgers School of Management. She lives in Bridgewater with her husband, Tom, and three children.
