NEWARK, N.J., Oct. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- With cold weather just around the corner, PSE&G would like to remind customers that the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is now accepting applications for the 2015 heating season.
"Last year, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program helped thousands of PSE&G households pay their heating bills," said Greg Dunlap, PSE&G's Vice President of Customer Operations. "Winter is almost here, and it's good to know there is help for low income families to meet their home heating needs. Those who are income eligible may receive an average of $300 toward their utility bills."
LIHEAP eligibility is based solely on last month's household gross income and household size. To be eligible for LIHEAP benefits, the applicant's household gross income must meet monthly income guidelines listed on the chart below. For example, a family of four with a monthly income of $3,975 or less per month may be eligible and should apply.
