John brings more than 12 years of investment experience in merger related situations to PSAM. Most recently, he was a Managing Director at TIG Advisors, a global event-driven fund focused on M&A, corporate restructurings and merger related special situations with more than $1.5 billion in assets under management.

Mr. McVeigh is a seasoned investment professional. Prior to joining Tiedemann Investment Group in 2008, he was Associate Director of Risk Arbitrage at Bear Stearns & Co. (from 2006-2008), where he served as an Analyst on an eight person team managing $2 billion of proprietary capital, and a Vice President of Equity Research focused on software at Bear Stearns prior to that (from 2003-2006). He began his career at CIBC World Markets in Investment Banking. Mr. McVeigh has a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Colgate University.
