Provident Capital Partners Leads Second Seed Round of $850,000 for Contap Social

BOSTON and PHILADELPHIA, June 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Contap Social (Contap), the leading networking and event organizing app, announced it closed a second seed round and has entered into an exclusive partnership with Network After Work, the world's largest networking organization. Contap's funding round and new partnership will bolster its mobile app relaunch in the Google Play and Apple app stores in July 2018. Boston-based Provident Capital Partners led the round of financing and made a significant direct investment in Contap.

Contap was created to allow digitally-savvy Millennials to customize what information they share with new friends and colleagues, without the burden of carrying and exchanging business cards. Users open the app and nearby Contap users will appear. With just a few taps, users can share contact information —even if their new connection does not have Contap.

The CEO and Founder of Contap, Jason Craparo, ran with the idea of a customizable relationship management tool. "I realized that whenever I met someone new, I didn't always want to share the same set of contact information. I wanted to customize what I shared with whom: personal cell phone, personal email address and Facebook for a new friend, but a professional email address, LinkedIn and Twitter for a new professional contact."

Contap fills the market gap for a comprehensive solution combining contact management, document sharing, digital "business cards," social media aggregators, and event organizing.
