MENLO PARK, Calif., Nov. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Consulting magazine has named Shaheen Dil, a managing director with global consulting firm Protiviti (www.protiviti.com), to its 2014 Women Leaders in Consulting list. In the publication's eighth annual listing, 12 women representing consulting firms across the globe were selected from more than 400 nominations.
Dil currently leads Protiviti's model risk and capital management practice. Based in New York, she also serves as a member of the firm's North American financial services and global risk and compliance leadership teams. With more than 25 years of experience in banking and financial services across all aspects of domestic and international risk management, Dil is at the forefront of the industry's challenges and continues to educate the market through a number of external-facing activities.
"We are proud of Shaheen and thrilled about her recognition by Consulting magazine," said Protiviti President and CEO Joseph Tarantino. "As a Protiviti executive whose commitment is exemplified through tangible business results and a strong people orientation, she is the true personification of leadership."
While managing a full client schedule, Dil also publishes thought leadership materials about model risk and stress-testing topics; speaks at conferences and webinars during the year; is an expert resource for and quoted by leading publications; and develops and leads stress-testing and model validation training internally for Protiviti professionals. She is the Executive Advisor for 10 employees while also informally mentoring many more individuals at the firm.
Dil also serves on a number of educational and philanthropic boards, including the Safura Khatun High School for Girls in Bangladesh, the Vassar Educational Advisory Committee and the non-profit organization Concerts for Causes.
"Consulting magazine is honored to recognize 12 women leaders in the consulting profession and the firms they represent," said Joe Kornik, publisher and editor-in-chief of Consulting. "This is our eighth year recognizing the Women Leaders in Consulting winners, and we are proud to see women across this profession breaking barriers and making a collective impact with accomplishments that get more impressive each year."
Consulting magazine will salute the women named to the 2014 list at its annual Women Leaders in Consulting awards dinner on November 6th at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The honorees will also be profiled in the December 2014 edition of the magazine.
