MENLO PARK, Calif., Nov. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) has once again named Jim DeLoach, a managing director at global consulting firm Protiviti, to its 2015 NACD Directorship 100 list. This is the fourth year DeLoach is being recognized in the Governance Professionals and Institutions category. The annual list identifies the most influential people in the boardroom community including directors, corporate governance experts, journalists, regulators and advisors.
"As a trusted leader in the corporate governance space, Jim consistently provides clients with innovative and comprehensive solutions for integrating risk management," said Joseph Tarantino, president and CEO, Protiviti. "Whether it's responding to government mandates, shareholder demands or the ever-changing business environment, Jim has made invaluable contributions to the boardroom community. We are very proud of the recognition the NACD has bestowed on Jim for his many contributions and his leadership."
With more than 35 years of experience, DeLoach helps companies integrate risk management with strategy-setting and performance management. A prolific writer, DeLoach heads the firm's thought leadership strategy and has published more than 270 articles covering various aspects of governance, managing business risk and effective internal controls. DeLoach is the author of Protiviti's Board Perspectives: Risk Oversight series. His book, Enterprise-wide Risk Management: Strategies for linking risk and opportunity, was published by the Financial Times in June 2000 and was the first book written on the subject of enterprise risk management. DeLoach also writes monthly blog posts for both NACD Directorship and Corporate Compliance Insights. He is based in Protiviti's Houston office.
"NACD is honored to recognize the achievements and commitment to boardroom excellence exemplified by these exceptional individuals. Effective corporate directors and governance leaders are nothing short of essential to the success of the enterprise – from creating and sustaining long-term value to serving as a guiding light in times of disruption," said Ken Daly, CEO of NACD.
NACD Directorship 100 honorees are selected by a group that includes the previous year's honorees, an advisory panel of judges and NACD Directorship readers and staff. The 2015 honorees will be celebrated during a gala dinner at the ninth annual NACD Directorship 100 Forum on December 2 in New York City.
