MENLO PARK, Calif., June 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Global consulting firm Protiviti has been named to the Fortune 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials® list for the third consecutive year. The annual list is based on employee feedback on a wide range of topics including fairness, meaningful work, teamwork and organizational benefits.
"Millennials, together with all of our employees, thrive at Protiviti thanks, in part, to a highly collaborative approach to solving our clients' problems," said Joseph Tarantino, president and CEO of Protiviti. "We also provide our employees with extensive training and a well-defined career path, and are able to offer them a strong culture of mentoring and recognition. Supporting our people in ways like these ensures that we attract and retain the best talent, which is critical for a client-centric organization like Protiviti."
In addition to naming Protiviti one of the best workplaces for millennials, Fortune highlighted a Protiviti employee's comment directly from the survey used to determine which companies make the list: "The dynamic and culture of the company creates an ideal workplace for millennials and simultaneously promotes individual growth."
"We work hard to help ensure that all our employees can be their best, in work and life, as a result of being a part of our Protiviti community," said Scott Redfearn, executive vice president of global human resources at Protiviti. "We give our people many opportunities to share their perspectives with our leadership team, and we act on their feedback. Our senior leaders prioritize spending time with our people in order to be accessible, and we enjoy celebrating individual and collective success. Being included on this list for the third year helps validate that our millennial employees value their experience at Protiviti."
Protiviti's award-winning onboarding process helps integrate new employees into the workplace through a two-day 'Passport to Protiviti' orientation program. Additionally, new hires are connected to peer advisors and a new-hire portal that offers support throughout the transition into the firm.
Protiviti invests in its people through several workplace initiatives, such as:
- Protiviti University is an online resource that helps engage employees with professional development programs. It houses Learning Maps that identify the skills required for success at each level in their careers and helps employees learn how to hone those skills for further success.
- Employees enjoy flexible policies for work-life integration and working remotely, as well as a stipend for sabbaticals.
- Employees can join networking groups including ones for women, veterans, LGBT, parents and Protiviti's multicultural community.
- Protiviti supports employees' desire to make a positive impact in the world with its i on Hunger company-wide initiative that has provided over 4 million meals to people in need.
Making the List
To determine the Fortune 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials list, which is based entirely on employees' feedback, Fortune teamed with Great Place to Work, a global research and consulting firm that surveyed more than 398,000 employees. People surveyed gave their feedback on a wide range of topics, including their managers' competence; their experience of respect and fairness in the workplace; and the extent to which they were given meaningful work. Results were compared to colleagues' responses from other generations. Millennials' responses resulted in a total score for each company, which was compared to the benchmark for organizations of similar size.
Protiviti was also named to the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® list in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
