MENLO PARK, Calif., Jan. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Protiviti Inc. (www.protiviti.com), a global business consulting and internal audit firm, today announced it has enhanced the multilingual capabilities of its Governance Portal with an Arabic translation for users who are accustomed to reading right-to-left. The new capability makes it easier for multinational companies, including those in more than 25 Middle Eastern and African countries, to establish and manage a uniform governance, risk and compliance (GRC) strategy.

Users can access the same Governance Portal system in their respective languages, ensuring uniform communication and reliable consolidated reporting across an international user community while also gaining increased GRC efficiency and improved decision-making.
In addition to helping establish a uniform GRC strategy, a single instance of the Governance Portal for multiple languages can eliminate the risk of encountering inconsistencies between different versions of the platform. System administrators can streamline communications across their user community. Project managers can more easily consolidate data across geographic locations for executive reporting, and information technology departments can significantly reduce their hardware requirements and software maintenance activities.
Support for right-to-left languages is the latest advance in Protiviti's multilingual capabilities, which was announced in August 2010. "Our new multilingual capability, along with our local support, further elevates Protiviti's position as the go-to GRC solution in the Middle East, where demand continues to increase," said Scott Gracyalny, managing director and global leader of Protiviti's Risk Technologies practice. "The enthusiasm for these capabilities has been extraordinary, and we look forward to supporting additional right-to-left languages in the future."
Currently supported languages include Arabic, Dutch, English, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish. In addition, the Governance Portal offers a simplified translation upload capability that enables local offices to add additional languages into the system or add local dialects and business terms into an existing translation.
The Governance Portal is an industry-leading enterprise governance, risk and compliance (EGRC) software platform that allows organizations to address multiple GRC objectives. A recipient of various industry accolades, the Governance Portal integrates Protiviti's proprietary content and consulting expertise with commonly accepted governance frameworks to establish a comprehensive platform that gives organizations the visibility and insight they need to manage and mitigate critical risk and compliance issues. The Governance Portal for Internal Audit enables organizations to automate the audit process from risk assessment through reporting; identify and assess risks through integrated surveys to simplify the feedback process; tie risks to key processes and organizations that feed the audit planning process; and easily integrate internal auditing into the GRC program.
