Protect-A-Bed® Launches Sweepstakes to Find Craziest Dreams
Consumers have chance to win pillow protectors and a dream vacation
CHICAGO, July 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- With the dog days of summer in full swing, families are soaking up the last month of hot days and outside activities. As a result, bed times are often pushed back to take in the extra fun, resulting in less sleep – and some interesting dreams.

Protect-A-Bed®, a leading provider of bedding protection products, is launching the Summer Dreamin' promotion to educate consumers on the importance of a healthy and comfortable sleep environment, and uncover summer's craziest dreams.
According to Lauri Loewenberg, a dream expert, when people sleep less, they can actually dream more. "We thought it would be fun to put this theory to the test and encourage people to submit their craziest dreams," she says.
Beginning on July 30, Protect-A-Bed is encouraging people to visit the Summer Dreamin' promotion on Facebook and share details about their craziest dream. In addition to answering a few questions about their dreaming habits, participants will be asked to write up to 200 words about their most recent unusual dream.
From July 30 through Aug. 16, people who enter the sweepstakes will be registered for a chance to win the grand prize of $1,000 toward a dream vacation, Protect-A-Bed Signature Series Pillow Protectors, a copy of Loewenberg's book, "Dream on It: Unlock Your Dreams, Change Your Life," and a 30-minute dream reading.
Three randomly selected weekly winners will also win Protect-A-Bed pillow protectors. Weekly winners will be announced on Facebook on Aug. 2, Aug. 9 and Aug. 16 at 2 p.m. EST. Between Aug. 16 and Aug. 20, the general public will have a chance to review all dream submissions and vote on their favorite to win the grand prize. The grand prize winner will be announced on Wed., Aug. 21.
"During the summer many factors lead to less sleep, including higher temperatures, more daylight and all the fun outside activities, which leads to changes in the sleep routine," said James Bell, CEO of Protect-A-Bed, a leading global provider of mattress protection products for more than 30 years. "We're excited to find out what kind of dreams people are experiencing this summer."
To support the sweepstakes, Protect-A-Bed (@Protect_A_Bed) and Lauri Loewenberg (@thedreamexpert) are hosting a Twitter party on the topic of dreams from 9 p.m. until 10 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Aug. 6. To join the Twitter party, follow the hashtag #SummerDreamin on Twitter.
