Protect-A-Bed®, Kicks-Off 'Wake-Up Champions' Team to Launch New Sleep Recovery System
CHICAGO, March 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Protect-A-Bed® is launching a 'Wake-Up Champions' Team during the International Home and Housewares Show (IHHS) to introduce REM-Fit, its first bedding line developed for consumers with an active, healthy lifestyle.
The new bedding system, which stands for Rest, Energize, Motivate, is the latest development from greater Chicago-based bedding industry leader Protect-A-Bed. The system's Miracle Membrane®, along with its wood-based fiber Tencel®, creates the ultimate experience in pillows, mattress and pillow protectors.
"Sleep is incredibly important for all of us, but especially for those who push their bodies to the limit. They require a sleep environment that allows their body and mind to fully rest," said James Bell, CEO of Protect-A-Bed. "REM-Fit builds on our bedding industry knowledge and what has been proven to create the best sleep environment."
The REM-Fit Total Sleep Recovery System includes the Rest Adjustable Pillow, the Energize Pillow Protector and the Motivate Mattress Protector. To help promote its new line, Protect-A-Bed has secured the endorsement of celebrity CrossFit athlete Camille Leblanc-Bazinet, who was named the sixth fittest woman in the world in 2013. Leblanc-Bazinet will attend IHHS on Sunday and Monday and will be meeting with attendees and fitness enthusiasts in REM-Fit's booth S1653.
"I perform at my best when I am fully rested," said Leblanc-Bazinet. "The REM-Fit line is ideal for people like me who are active every day and need a sleep sanctuary."
During the show, Leblanc-Bazinet will officially kick-off 'Wake-Up Champions' by REM-Fit, a team of athletes of all kinds, who can sign up to receive motivational fitness tips and will be the first to sample future REM-Fit products.
"The Wake-Up Champions team is designed for athletes of all kinds: cyclists, runners, swimmers, yoginis, cardio warriors and more," Bell said. "In addition to giving athletes the tools they need for a great night's sleep, we'd also like to invite them to be part of a community to share their tips to motivate each other."
Champions can sign up in person at the show or can visit the website: http://groupspaces.com/REMFitChampions. The first 20 members to register will receive a REM-Fit Energize pillow protector and REM-Fit Wake-Up Champion shirt.
REM-Fit's consumer launch follows an industry introduction at Las Vegas Market in January. "We're excited to continue the momentum and build on interest from furniture and bedding industry buyers," Bell said. Products are currently available for sale on the website.
