The program is designed to teach motivated professionals about the mortgage industry and coach them through every aspect of the loan origination and sales process — and how to provide a world-class service experience to their clients. During the yearlong program, trainees also receive guidance on building successful referral partner relationships with real estate agents.
"Our Rookie Loan Officer Training Program is foundational in helping us attract and retain new professionals — and in helping them prepare to better serve our growing client base," said Prospect Mortgage CEO Ron Bergum. "We believe our immersion technique is the best in the industry, and the feedback from our trainees, Loan Officers and clients has been extremely positive."
In addition to receiving training in local offices under the guidance of a top Loan Officer, who serves as their mentor, trainees spend one month at Prospect's corporate headquarters in Sherman Oaks, California. While there, they are trained by nationally recognized subject matter experts, department heads and executive leaders, including CEO Ron Bergum, Chief Operating Officer Tom Fiddler and Chief Performance Officer Todd Duncan, author of 14 sales performance, self-improvement and time-management books — including two New York Times best-sellers.
"The education that trainees receive includes special attention to the Prospect Constitution, and how to incorporate its guiding principles into everything they do," said Chief Talent Officer Dan Nieto. "That charter codifies 13 values — including teamwork, integrity and accountability — illustrating what Prospect believes are the most important focal points for the Company, our associates, customers, business partners and the communities we serve."
The participants of the Prospect Mortgage Rookie Loan Officer Training Program who recently received their Loan Officer licenses are: Kristee Diersing, Camarillo, CA (website); Evan Foster, Wakefield, MA (website); Evan Hatch, Pomona, CA (website); Tim Henton, La Jolla, CA (website); Rudy Jazo, Santa Barbara, CA (website); Austin Reed, Newton, MA (website); Ryan Schaefer, La Jolla, CA (website); Shaida Tafreshi, Pasadena, CA (website); and Allen White, Tampa, FL (website).
