Property Auction at Former Scotland School for Veterans' Children to be Held Sept. 28, Pre-Registration Encouraged
HARRISBURG, Pa., Sept. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- State General Services Secretary Sheri Phillips announced that the Department of General Services will hold a property auction at the former Scotland School for Veterans' Children, 3583 Scotland Road in Chambersburg, at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
Phillips encouraged members of the public wishing to participate to pre-register online.
"General Services' liquidation of assets at the Scotland School location means the public has the opportunity to purchase quality educational and institutional equipment and property at a fair price," Secretary Phillips said. "We expect this event to be well-attended, so interested bidders are encouraged to pre-register to avoid any delays on the day of the auction."
The auction will feature 150 lots totaling thousands of items for purchase. Inspection of the items will run from 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. on the day of the event. On-site registration will begin at 7 a.m. as well.
Items to be up for bid include: lathes & milling machines and woodworking equipment; classroom, cottage, and infirmary furniture; athletic equipment such as track & field, basketball and football; library & text books, school supplies, science lab, vintage movie projector and more.
