Prop. 65 Clearinghouse Annual Conference
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- George Alexeeff, Director of the California State's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment will chair this year's Prop. 65 Conference September 15 in San Francisco.
This year's Conference program, organized by Prop. 65 Clearinghouse, is geared to help businesses learn how to cope with California's tough toxic law. Experts in the field, including San Francisco Superior Court Judge Richard Kramer and Supervising Deputy Attorney General Susan Fiering, will moderate discussions on the cost and difficulties in reaching Prop. 65 settlements.
The one-day event at the Julia Morgan Ballroom at the Merchant Exchange building in the San Francisco Financial District will also include panels on the impact of the newly proposed Prop. 65 Warning Regulations on retailers and manufacturers; the legal lessons learned when the Furniture Industry faced removing Prop. 65 listed flame retardant chemicals from their products; and new Prop. 65 trends that can affect doing business in California.
The Prop. 65 Clearinghouse, a web-based publishing company, is in its ninth year presenting the Annual Prop. 65 Conference. Over 150 people from businesses, trade associations, government and law firms attend the conference each year. Prop. 65 Clearinghouse was started in 2004 by its publisher, Lana Beckett, as a means to provide stakeholders with a source of independent, unbiased news.
