Prominent Housing and Community Development Expert to Join Abt Associates

BETHESDA, Md., May 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Jeffrey Lubell, a nationally recognized housing and community development authority, will join Abt Associates June 1 as the company's first Director of Housing Initiatives.  In this position, Lubell will provide policy and program expertise to assist policymakers in solving the nation's pressing housing challenges.

Lubell, who comes to Abt from serving as executive director of the Center for Housing Policy (CHP), regularly contributes to "The Home Front," a U.S. News & World Report blog.  

Prior to his position at CHP, he served as the director of the policy development division of the Office of Policy Development and Research at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development from 2000 - 2003.  He was a housing policy analyst for the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities from 1998 – 2000.

A graduate of Harvard Law School and Harvard University, Lubell is a former Fulbright Scholar.
