PHOENIX, Aug. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing its first-class level of governance made up of diverse talent, the Arizona Technology Council today announced that Edward Aaronson, director, Enterprise Sales, Cox Business; Gavin Miller, vice president of Marketing, Solutions and Sales Acceleration for Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas; and Tony Portela, IT Director, Suntron Corporation; have each been elected to serve three-year terms as directors on the Council's Board of Directors. All three leaders were approved in a unanimous vote during a regular session of the Board of Directors' meeting on July 19, 2012.

Edward Aaronson is responsible for all Enterprise and Public Sector Business sales efforts for Cox Business in Arizona. He has a proven track record of leading successful high growth businesses and has an extensive background in driving sales and marketing efforts across diverse business environments. Ed has also effectively demonstrated his profit and loss management experience, as well as significant senior leadership experience in sales force development and management.
Gavin Miller serves as vice president of Marketing, Solutions and Sales Acceleration for Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas. He is responsible for the development and growth of vertical market and technology solutions practices; financial and business analytics offerings; solutions business development; and supplier business acceleration. He also directs strategic and solutions marketing for the organization. Under his leadership, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas, has significantly enhanced its enterprise IT and data center solutions offerings to help value-added resellers grow their businesses in vertical markets, such as energy, finance, government, healthcare and retail.
Tony Portela is responsible for directing all areas of IT/IS across Suntron Corporation and has been with the company for over 10 years. During his tenure he has provided guidance, support, engineering skills, architecture expertise and leadership through various cycles of business lifecycle: mergers, acquisition, massive growth and downsizing.
