Progressives for Immigration Reform Calls for Immigration Time Out
WASHINGTON, April 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Progressives for Immigration Reform, a national non-profit organization has launched a nationwide campaign urging Americans to sign up and support an immigration time out petition to preserve America's jobs. The campaign, led by Frank Morris, former President of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation urges black leaders to address the reality of immigration's impact on joblessness in minority and low income communities.
According to Morris, "with more than 15 million unemployed Americans, political leaders in Washington are listening to the wrong people. It's time for Washington policy makers to stop admitting more than 1 million new foreign workers every year to accept American jobs. It's time to remind our leaders who they represent."

Progressives for Immigration Reform (PFIR) is a non-profit organization seeking to educate the public on the unintended consequences of large-scale immigration.
"Uncontrolled immigration is having a devastating impact on many poor communities," says Leah Durant, Executive Director of Progressives for Immigration Reform. "Although the United States should do all it can to help the world's poor, our leaders should strive for policies that address the needs of America's poor before importing millions of new workers."
