Profiles in History Heads To San Diego Comic-Con To Preview Its Newest And One Of Its Most Extensive Array Of Hollywood Memorabilia As It Gears Up For Its Next Big "Hollywood Icons" Auction
The Profiles in History Booth Will Bring Fans One Step Closer to Their Favorite Movies, as they Showcase A Vast Collection of Classic, Famous, Rare, Pop Culture and Unique New & Old Entertainment Items
LOS ANGELES, July 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading Hollywood entertainment auction house, Profiles in History is heading to San Diego Comic-Con 2014 to showcase one of its most diverse collections of entertainment memorabilia to date. A preview to Profiles In History's next "Hollywood Icons" auction, scheduled for mid-September 2014, at booth (#1605) will be an exhibit like none other, featuring a number of cases and displays full of props and costumes from many of the best and most popular film and TV shows of all time.

Comic-Con film and TV fans will have a unique opportunity to experience their favorite movies when visiting the booth. Visitors can see first hand items that include: Hugh Jackman's Wolverine: Origins hero claws; Jumanji (1995) screen-used Jumanji board game; Game of Thrones, Season 1, Mark Addy's "Robert Baratheon" signature hero crown; Alec Baldwin's "Adam Maitland" puppet from BeetleJuice plus many more. Fans of the 1954 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea can peak at the screen-used hero "Nautilus" rifle.
Profiles in History's booth will house a sizeable display of character costumes from the third installment of the globally popular, multi-million dollar grossing movie franchise The Expendables. A sampling (over 150 items from the three films will be auctioned in September) of the well-known distinctive tactical costumes, weapons and gear worn by the famous mercenary characters: Barney Ross, Lee Christmas, Yin Yang, Gunner Jensen, Hale Caesar, Toll Road and Trench.
The company will also be bringing an astounding display of items from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Costumes and items from the three movies will be showcased throughout the booth for fans to see and experience including: Towering screen-used costume displays of Ringwraith, Rohirrim, Elven Warrior and Lurtz; screen-used Ringwraith sword; Sean Astin's "Samwise" screen-used prosthetic Hobbit feet and ears; and the John-Rhys-Davies "Gimli" Helmet are just a sampling of the many items from the three epics that will be presented at this year's Comic-Con show. The September auction will actually feature 14 Lord of the Rings lots total.
Profiles in History will be at San Diego Comic-Con from July 24th to the 27th, located at booth 1605.
